Always fancied a Metro Van

$_12.JPG

Whack some steelies on like these originally had and it'd be a looker.

originally this car was fitted with a 1.0 engine which is sold with this sale but I have also sourced a 1.3 spi mini cooper engine that covered 18,000 miles

That makes a pleasant change.

Didn't someone on here have an early Metro Van? Whatever happened to that?

One of, if not my actual dream car.  These are surely worth a fortune when done properly

you know, I'm not feeling the Xantia love. Maybe I had a duff one but it was nowt special and when the diff fell to bits one xmas, I sent it over the bridge and kept nothing (which i unusual, I normally keep a part of a car for my garage wall)

Is it just me, or does this wheel not look quite right? As if it's not quite pointing exactly forwards?

Laser wheels my opinion is The seller of that 4i is very effing optimistic there's a very nice non chavved xr4i in Caspian blue on there with t&t and bbs reps but comes with original wheels for £3500 that's been on there for ages

Yes, I have seen that one and very nice it is, too! I'm still kicking myself for not picking up a very tidy looking one-owner in black being sold as a dealer trade in locally to me 5 or 6 years back. The price, you ask? £350 ...

...Which will be this one: Tomato, my 1983 Morris Metro 1.3 van, dragged out of a garage in Cyprus with 16,500 miles on the clock from new and shipped to Barrow, where I pressed it into daily use.  I sold it through the Metro Owners' Club forum, to an Irish collector.  Didn't get what I wanted for it but who ever does?

I had 99.9% bought a 4i bout 4 years ago it looked great in pictures, right money for a good one so I put it on my insurance travelled the 40 odd miles to collect got there looked pretty much as good as it did in the pictures, then I checked the underside both outer sides of the boot floor by the chassis rails, rear archs inners and outer and the inner sills at the back had turned to weetabix, safe to say I walked away from it

^^ Nice! Looks like someone's broken up a giant Crunchie and tipped it through the sunroof.

This looks like something Kermit the frog would borrow off his Mum to go KRUZIN  and later finger Miss Piggy round the back of the bottle banks in

This looks like a well looked after RX8 for a grand. Loads of T&T and no mention of any problems.  Open to PX's too. This guy defo needs a ZX diesel that smells like ships in his life for sure!

I may have actually bought this if I hadn't spluffed all my money on those seats. Probably a good thing.

The crown of the PreAngPop range - a 107E! You get the lovely side valve Ford looks but with the drivability of the 105E OHV. A real Autobahn stormer.

This is just down the road from me and it is even nicer in the metal than it looks in pics. It's got amazingly good paint. The body and paintwork cost more than it's up for sale for. It's top money but I suspect it'd be hard to find a better one.

^^huge amount of work (and money) ploughed into that 6 - lovely.

This is nice (I'd ditch the headlamp cowls though - it looks like some kind of automotive torture - face full into the wind with your eyelids propped open)....
