I wouldnt mind trying one of these for a bit.

REASON FOR SPARES OR REPAIRS IS GARAGE INFORMED ME IT NEEDED A NEW TURBO SO THE TURBO IS OFF ALONG WITH OTHER BITS AND PIECES THAT WERE TAKEN OFF TO TAKE THE TURBO OFF WHICH ARE ALL IN THE BOOT (SEE LAST PICTURE) ALSO THERE IS NO 1ST AND 2ND GEAR THE GARAGE INFORMED ME

OTHER THEN THESE 2 FAULTS THE CAR WAS RUNNING PERFECT WITH NO ISSUES WHAT SO EVER

Brilliant, so the engine bay is half-dismantled and the gearbox is fooked.

This is a rare one, 626 GT with the 2.5 V6, one owner as well!

I have been told that the engines are very sought after for racing cars but I don't know how true that is

Sounds unlikely

It's true - it was one of the changes in the controversial new F1 rules for 2014. All 2014 cars have to use the Mazda 626 GT engine. Equally controversial - wheel trims must be secured with a minimum of three cable ties this season.

Those Mk1 Primera 1.6s are quite lively, Reg, but they sort of need a bit of persuading and the engine gets a bit vocal in my experience. The 2.0 was superb, no real effort to get them going along at a decent rate of knots, thus a far nicer drive on long journeys. There were rumours of dodgy 5th speed on the gearboxes, but I never had a problem with the few I owned.

With painted over parcel tape by the look of it.

'A Standard 8 that has been used in the film world, it had been booked for various grumble flicks. Sadly it's short lived porn career was over after it auditioned for a part in 'Carry On Up The Teatowel Holder' and no amount of Castrol's finest could get it's arse end open enough. It ended it's life working as a fluffer in various less well known productions such as Chitty Chitty Wank Bang, (Rusty) Bullet (Hole) and 'Herpes Rides Again'.

You think they would have moved the coolant pipe that's fallen off out of the way when they took that picture?

Given that not a week goes by without some rusty bonneted Golf turning up with a roofrack'o'shit and no suspension travel, do they STILL believe they're being "different"?

A 2.0 16V Mk2 in good nick is still well into four figures, I reckon that'll fall off the end of eBay with no bids, next week it'll start at £725 etc etc. Finally it'll go for just above bridge money.
