it has been off the road but running until a year ago when the cable from the ignition to the fuel pump was removed by accident! (one of those nights!)

I really do love these but I recon this one's bound to be rotten and expensive.

I wonder what's in that WHSmith Family Foolscap Folder File Box strapped to the back? Lovely picnic set, probably...

Oh, it's a Beetle engine.

It wouldn't surprise me if it had a 1275 nicked from it an a 1098 swapped back in.

I think it would cause hassle for the clutch with a 1098. All metros were A+ but 1098 would all be A-series.

£1k for a manual super sports gear with a months tax and a years test.

Unless I'm mistaken that being the super sports gear means it should have a slightly de-tuned evo engine producing around 220bhp

I used to enjoy baiting the rep-mobiles in mine.

That Cavalier is frustating. Why did the tit strip out the original interior and fit a later one? Rather ruins the feel of a 33k mile, otherwise-original motor.

BASTARD.

That is all.

Edit: does anyone nearby fancy rescuing this for me? And then perhaps throwing the bonnet over a hedge...

Im puzzled. The Metro didnt come with an 1100cc A Series, only the 998 and 1275cc. So has he pulled an A series from another BLMC motor or whut?

Yes, but the Metro is A+ and had the Verto clutch system, the 1100 was never made avail for the Metro and would be an earlier A Series would be pre-verto, and assuming it came from a Mini rather than an AD016, the final drive would be geared for 10 " wheels at something like 4.1:1 rather than 3.4:1 for 12" wheels.
