Hmm that's an interesting one. I suspect he means 1994 as the 1993 ones weren't built by TOMS and were in blue/red securicor livery (plus the pictures of it in period are of the 94 btcc car aside from the last picture which isnt a BTCC round)

No mention of engine or transmission,but shifted looks more like a H pattern and not the sequential it would have had in period

Given the price ex works stuff goes for now I'm surprised to see it on eBay and not race cars direct etc if its pukka 

EDIT;

The picture he shows of it supposedly in the BTCC in his ad shows it as LHD!

so its definitely not the 1994 works BTCC car

the car in his last picture looks more likely

 

its a RHD and the livery looks a better match. no idea which championship this car is in. JTCC perhaps although Bailey did a full time BTCC season in 1994

My mum has one of those, she's had it from new. It was even the same colour once. When she first got it she had some vinyl leaves made up to stick all over it. Big ones. And lots of them.

After she crashed it a couple of times she decided to have it painted Honda Jazz Pink and stuck lots of fake crystals in strategic places. Then she crashed it a couple more times but only minor ones so we have the odd cable tie holding the bumper on here and there. Funnily enough I've never taken a picture of it.

BASE spec. That is brilliant. I love the fact Ford even took the black plastic inserts out of the bumpers 😄, the shame of it. 

The blue Polo C is spectacularly grim, this is some proper poverty spec action going on here!
