I used to live round there. If that's the car I'm thinking of it's basically made of rust and filler.

It's in Ripleys scrapyard who often sponsor banger racing so I recon it has to be completely rotten or they would've raced it.

Ah well, that makes me feel a bit better about not saving it. To be fair, Somersets are usually very solid and rot resistant - that one must have been really neglected to look like that. Very sad.

Hey don't let me put you off if you were going to have a look at it. I could be wrong and it could be a different car from the one I'm thinking of (which suffered 20 years of botching by a 'home restorer').

Check out the way he's cut about 17 square foot out of the rear bit, then welded it to the front and lest a BFO gap.

He's trying to do one of these SWB Quattro's isn't he?

Edit, I've just seen some of the welding and the price. Hopeless!

I wouldn't mind knowing what the reserve is on that BRM. I have had a wantage for a while until the memory of my ZR shiting its guts out on new years eve come back.

These 306 'sedan' efforts are a good car, on which someone has cranked up the shite factor to level 9. On that basis alone, WOULD. That gold 2.0 pez one went for 270 which I thought was a bit pricey, but clearly by any reasonable measure it was not really.
