What a dream machine!, As a seller though I'd had thought you'd make the effort to getting it running better if it "Only needs plugs and leads" and maybe put it in for a test, Makes me wonder if he's got it cheap of a neighbour and is punting it on for £££'s.

A couple of months ago I bought this old T5 as a much nicer estate I was selling needed some window switches.

Couldn't find any locally and was about to contact Lakes of Wyboston when this T5 turned up.

I swapped the switches over then listed the T5 for spares.Apart from a knackered power steering pump it

drove very well.I'd listed it with the split vacuum pipe, knackered pump, lambda light on and split rubber top mount.

I'm glad he didn't remove the front suspension and sack it off as was his intention.Good luck to him I say.

Could this eventually slip into shite territory?

I realise the absence of all beigness and being built over 15 years after the last real cars were made makes it rather newfangled.

But it possesses absolutely nothing to alleviate the terminal awfulness it emits through every pore, and that makes it actually quite likeable, no?

I think this is a rare example of a vehicle that was shite from new. Think CityRover or Lada.

just £750 BIN for this bare shell of a DIY-converted E30 pick-up, BARGAIN eh!!!

as you can see the car is now completely stripped down prior to a full nut and bolt restoration being started

Surely thats 'completely stripped down prior to being punted on ebay in an last-ditch effort to get it out of my fuking yard'

This does the rounds at the local car shows and to be fair it's certainly not the worst Ferrari replica that's been on these pages. The thing that annoys me about it and god only knows why he's done an extreme close up of it is the size of the spacers on the rear wheels. GR9 for wheel bearings.

Wow, the way the switches are fitted onto the dash just oozes quality.

The Daihatsu Move and Cuore are both on my watch list. Not sure why as I have no money, but the thought of a cheeky, Japanese run-about is currently quite appealing.

I fancy buying som more shite TBH, after a hard day arguing the toss about everything in the office i'm getting a bit hacked off with striding out across the car park to make my escape journey in a flipping Doblo 1.9D. I need somthing a bit more life-affirming

That one (rx8) doesn't seem to have suffered the normal fate either. There's gazillions of knackered one out there for sale for 500 quid. It's quite tempting to get one and do something horrible like put a Rover V8 on SU's in it.
