That Cav is possibly an Isuzu engined one as well, although can't tell without an engine pic.

Been reading the Kids TV thread and feel an unfathomable itch for a Trumpton fire engine?

Step stiffly this way, then...…

Sorry, but I'm failing to see the massive investment potential implied in the advert.

Happy to be proved wrong

LOL Five Grand!!! Who the hell do they think is gonna drop five large on an old Escort Ghia in primer grey?

Never mind years you'd be counting ice ages for that to recoup your "investment", never mind turn a profit, and I don't think the rear chassis legs and sills are likely to last that long.

That’s exactly what I was thinking.

Things like this always make me chuckle.

As a comparison a mintola mk 4 Ghia wouldn't fetch £3/4k even in a kdf whiteroom so to think this will be worth over treble that is totally dillusional.

They were never a particularly good car to drive back then, certainly not built to last in anyway or anything people particularly aspired to, the Ghia badge was becoming just that with most of the other models having most of the Ghia "extras".

I've had loads of those back in the day and they weren't a patch on the 90's Vauxhall's, ford were falling by the wayside at that time and hence invested heavily in the excellent MK1 focus which along with the Mondeo did really start to ramp their quality back up, but at a cost to simplicity.
