I had a MK2 'Tina, which also had the padded steering wheel (like this one) rather than the dished type normally found on UK cars. It also had a brake servo with duel lined brake pipes, a steering lock plus the tops of the struts were reinforced. These were not replaced as the welding was spot not seamed as repairs in those days would have been. Never did find out  which market it was due to be sent too.

Anyway here is a suggestion from lea after looking at the one above.

Anything above 14 inch wheels just looks daft on cortinas.

The bigger the wheel, the thinner the tyre aspect ratio......and the worse the ride. All these massive wheels make the car look like a caricature of itself.
