Not super cheap, but it looks like value to me, and there is a lot of metal for your money.

I'm not sure about the choice of engine, 6.2l v8 diesel, which seems to be lacking a turbo :(

I think this does have an aftermarket turbo. That alone is about $3000 rendering this not too expensive in total. I've driven one of these - they are very big but fun.18 feet 2inches long. Not sure what the turbo will do to the performance but the engine is more about torque than speed.

I mistook the "sidewinder turbo" thing for a funky airbox … It's a shame I haven't got 5 bags spare or I'd be seriously tempted.

Every day is a school day, this is now on my "want" list - according to youtube that kit changes the 0-60 time from around 20sec to 12 sec.

Some of those glasses on a gold chain, a cardy, and a Womens Institute receipe book on the passenger seat, then see if you can crank 150mph out of it on the local by-pass.

Best spec IMO and I think velour? Pre face-lift(T12) so may not have PAS which I'm not sure I could've bothered to do without nowadays.

Now this is my kind of Porka

Obviously, do not paint, just some lacquer or something to protect it and preserve the patina

If it had been lacquered from new it wouldn't have patina in the first place lol.

Rover 827i with wheel trims, reduced levels of wood trim and a manual gearbox. No idea why anyone would choose the lowest spec 800 with the largest engine, but I am glad they did. Currently £255.

Imagine, if you will, it is 1986 you are 16 years old.

You've got your provisional licence and L plates.

You rock up to the youthclub on this bad boy wearing a Centurian open face helmet

All those 14 year old girls dressed like Madonna going "cor, give us a ride"

Then you realise the engine is out of a C50, the foot pegs are in the wrong place

and there's no rear seat.

Hmm, my own first ride out to the youthclub on my moped was not too dissimilar

Might bid on this.

...what looks like a ZAZ aircooled V4.

In that case he's ruined it.

Engine oil replaced last week
Gearbox oil replaced last week

You never do this to a Zappo.

Having leather seats in that Escort cabin is like putting a tiara and lipstick on a wheely bin.

Have you been looking at my wheelie bin?

Anyone for an early Laguna? I know nothing about it other than its lived at the bottom of my road for years, and the photos flatter it a bit. Bristol.
