If he can't master even basic English, how will he cope in Spain?

Perhaps he is Spanish and came to Britain to seek his fortunes to seal his dream of buying a plot of prime Spanish farmland?

Probably because they are made from that plastic tray that cherry bakewells sit in.

Was there ever a better looking saloon than the Series 1 XJ12? Why are minters not £50'000+ ?

Because there are no minters.

read description

Whenever I read this, I know exactly that I'm not dealing with the sharpest knife in the drawer.

it was parked up because the Speedo stopped working

Genuine reason for parking a car up.

the leads have been mixed up on one side of the firing order...hence why it won't run.

But it was parked up because the Speedo stopped working, remember?

I do have the firing order

With all due respect, but you appear to be the type not running on all cylinders and backfiring on the others.

but haven't had the weather to mess with it .

Irrespective of the weather, which BTW is the same for all of us, I'd say you messed with it more than I wish you did.

it will have to be low loaded which is to be arranged by the buyer

What if I'd spend half a bloody minute of my time in the weather you have to sort the plug leads and drive it away?

On an entirely different note, is it only me who thinks people who put a space between the last word of a sentence and the full stop

are retarded slowpokes that never read a book in their lives?

The Rolls seller is clearly a dribbler, but the full stop thing is probably a victim of helpful / unhelpful technology.

My poxy phone does auto-spacing and puts a space at the end of everything, including email addresses which renders them invalid.

Sorry, drifted into GOM territory there.

This large and elegant styled American Chrysler is not only in the popular wedding colour of White /Black but is fast becoming a popular vehicle with Bride’s in it’s own right. Because of it’s impressive looks and stature this is fast becoming a popular wedding car.

It's a stinking diesel, ffs.

I love it when Junkman and Cavcraft are bored.  This thread really benefits!

Unable to match the cynism he has in his little finger, I'm utterly honoured to be mentioned in the same sentence as sir Cavcraft.

A bit overpriced really considering it is white and a non runner. Knock a couple of grand off and I might think about it. I expect it is a lot more than the plug leads being mixed up. They are right buggers to change properly and you wouldn't change them unless it was to try and fix a fault. They don't give much trouble either it is normally the carbs that cause poor running and blue smoke.

Going back to the Trevi ....  it's been for sale for yonks by Walkers,  one of the best known Lancia specialists in the country.  I'm guessing it must be in a pretty shocking state if even they aren't prepared to get it away with an MoT.
