Factory sunroof was standard equipment by then on the mk4 Escort L, even the Sierras in the fleet by then had the standard tilt/slide roof. Listing proves it's history as an ex BT car and the seller even has it's BT fleet number

Generally it's not the gasket but the block becomes porous. Cheap recycled steel from Russia allegedly. The turbo 1 like I had didn't suffer the problem at all.
