"... of course you're not a real petrolhead dickhead until you've Barried an Alfa."

Thankfully the visible anti-twatting measures look reasonably simple.

Those are troublesome enough to keep you in permafrown, believe me. Apart from the sledgehammer engine, everything is gleefully 60 CL, one of the best examples of Italian underengineering. Expect suspension mounting brackets being ripped from the body, constantly borked constant velocity joints, exhaust pipes on the road and not the car and all kinds of other nuisances.

It'll turn you into an Italian in no time, if jumping around your car swearing and waving your arms in vain is your idea of being an Italian.

So yes, you should buy it. And lots of Grappa. You will need it.

I have had many Italian cars, and an Italian GF.

I'm too old for that kinda shit now.

GTs are,as you say, a thing. Somehow I don't think this is one, it's definitely not a 1600 GT, too early for a 1600, it would have to be a 1500 GT which in 2 door form would make it practically unique. But if a real GT, whoever restored it in Abroadshire would have made sure the little GT badges on the wings were in place, thus preventing whichever moron stuck the Poundshop Lotus stickers from his act of lily gilding.

As a suspicious cynic, I would imagine adding two letters to the logbook would be pretty easy when transferring the foreign paperwork to a proper Her Majesty's V5C.
