Twenty nine-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Bluebird Stealing German (Merc Hiablance). Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realizes that the 24-foot behemoth is actually quite rusty and charmless. As their friendship grows, Sophie's presence attracts the unwanted attention of The Old Bill, FlashlampHeater and other giants. What always gets me about these kinds of buses is the contrast between exterior and interior.

The exterior is all swish and swooshy, with a fancy new paint job. Then you see the totally utilitarian dashboard and it's as if the factory went "fuck it, that'll do" and just nailed some dials to a plank.

I don't think it was that swish and swooshy from the factory.  That looks like a buggered-about-with Plaxton Panorama body, which means it would originally have been as square and utilitarian as the dash - the only interesting feature being the massive yet almost invisible rear lights.

This has got to be worth saving still surely, given what these are making in good nick nowadays?  You could pretend to be Trigger.  Or that bloke off Retro Rides a few years back who wanted to swap his Mk1 Civic for every single fugging car on the for sale board.

There's no way anyone is going to pay £2200 for that Lancer, someone has just got a bit trigger-happy on eBay. I reckon that's £5-700 max

I wouldn't be so sure, £10 says its used to re shell an LT 2000
