More likely it's got a crap MOT history and he doesn't want anyone looking it up.  ;-)

Has anyone ever fixed a KV6 head gasket? They seem generally a tough engine to me (im not talking about the Rover 800 version obv which are beyond hopeless) and a HGF sounds like 'bad luck', I am thinking of bidding on that V6 estate one with the cloth personal line interior, but its got HGF and i would think an engine swap would be a better prospect than trying to fix it.

This guy sounds like a proper old mental

 

 

There are three  problems with this car  one it has a water leak probably a pipe  this engine is complex so its hard to trace

 

 

the second problem is the ball joints in the wheels they will need replacing them before the next MOT

 

 

the engine is a rover engine before BMW took over the rover
