This looks nice, I hope there's nothing wrong with the brakes, I don't want to have to fuck about making an animated GIF.

Front and rear brakes will need an overhaul.

I don't know much about 'cut and shut' jobs, but I'd imagine it's probably better not to have the back of the car at a different angle to the front

Fifteen grand

Oh well, at least it'll be 'wonderful' and it has 'been renovated with many hours of care and attention to a very high standard'

To be fair, even if it were made up of 10 different Beetles it still wouldn't be any worse to drive or unsafe than a single standard one

Is showing your mud plugger plugged in mud actually a decent sales technique?

No - in fact, it sounds like something that might count as public indecency.

Do you think he showed his handy work to his mates and they said "fuck me, look at that! That's classic that is!"

This is even in Manchester:

Arrrrgh.

Seller also has a bollocked Bentley Tubo R that looks like it'd need more than Xtriple's spent to make good, and a lot of eight various XJs from S1 to X300, a Mk10 and a 420 in various conditions, £20k the lot...

The Granadaland Greenhouse Gassers already had their slimy stalk eyes all over that one.

Although it's far from hopeless, it is not something you can drive after an afternoon's work.

- It does need extensive welding to the sills. Boot is good, though, as are the floors.

- The interior is completely shot (replacement interior available on request).

- Although it turns over, it didn't want to start when we were there. To be fair, that was during a downpour and I don't think it'll take much to make it go vroom, vroom.

- The condition of the brakes is anybody's guess, but the empty reservoir makes me lose my will to live.

On the plus side, the engine bay is spotless, the panels are reasonable and the chrome trim is quite good, at least in P6 terms.

If it were a V8, I'd have bought it on the spot.
