ABS Sensors often control speedos nowadays and traction control, not sure about tyre pressure monitors though.

 

On the BINI, the abs sensors know if the wheels are traveling at different speeds, which they would do if they were at different pressures. Supposed to be accurate to about 5 psi, but when ours came on due to a slow puncture leak on the rim it was 8 psi different.

Saw this. Won't be TPMS, as that doesn't use the ABS on the gooners. Plausible that wheel spinning did it - this is a favourite trick on Saab 9-3.

 

I'd expect it to clear after a couple of starts+drives.

 

These do suffer ABS pressure sensor failures like VAG+others of the same era - all use the same crap Bosch modules. Requires the ABS valve block replacing. Not actually too big of a job and known working second hand parts can be swapped in too. I believe the VAG repair kit works too.
