An "Apple 2000" Maestro... What the fuck is one of them?

These were knocked down kits sent to Bulgaria IIRC in the 90s, but even they didn't want Austin Maestros, so somebody reimported them and built them up in the UK. Sold for £5000 each to old gimmers.

Saw that earlier. I was very tempted to bid on it, but then got scared as I may actually win it!

 

I really want a gooner 2 v6, but I don't think I could get away with having two gooners with the other half...

40,000ish miles and out of MoT it's barely been used.  Needs rear trailing arm bushes (they all do that, sir) which are cheap and easy to get from Rimmers.  Currently at a bargainous £50 first bid.  Could be a bonny little thing with minimal effort.
