Judging by the seats that looks like a mega rare 1.3S. The 'I love my Metro' sticker in the rear window didn't extend to saving it from engine bummage!

It should do - they actually did an R18 with the 2.1 TD from the factory, although I don't think it was ever sold here.  A lad I knew in France had one in the late '90s - it went like the clappers.

I almost bought this J reg Clio this morning, but Peter James wanted an extra £83 to insure it so I didn't. Seller sounds a decent lad when I messaged him, and it had cambelt, tensioner and waterpump done last year.

OK it's an automatic Renault, but looks decent enough.
