I imagine this would have been a bit of a beast in its day.  That day however has, alas, long since past.

Someone obviously wants it though.

Sadly they weren't very beast like, I bought a 2 door 2300 expecting it to be RS2000 like , dissapointingly it was barely 1600 Sport like. Quite relaxed and brisk rather than fast, I'd probably appreciate it it more now , 30 years on. Whereas the HB 2000GT a mate had was a properly quick car, must've been the matte black bonnet.

"After poor Hetty had passed away, her property and all it's contents (including her late husbands precious Maestro) were sold on. The buyer of the estate employed a building contractor to commence work on the restoration of the house and it was he that found the car. He promptly drove it to us leaving cement all over the seats, a paper on the dashboard, six roll-up butts on the floor, a copy of Razzle on the passenger seat and a smattering of Ginsters wrappers in the footwell".

^ Hmm so the builder is the second registered keeper, so did he buy it, or just keep it when he "found" it?
