hideous, but i hope it finds a good home

I can't abide Metros, but I would happily make an exception for that if there was a nought removed from the end of the price. A more stylish way to haul scooters I can't imagine, just check out this magnificent rear aspect 8)

Not for that money, though. Not even close.

If England wants to stand a chance, the English have to stop trying to rip each other off.

That rear is magnificent! If only because of the extra filler pieces to fill the gap round the newer smaller lights.

Dear Mr & Mrs Perkins

I want to apologise for my behaviour when I came to look over and drive your Vanden Plas.

In retrospect I realise my 'lively' driving may have been alarming as I wanted to check out the gears (I am sorry about the grinding around trying to find 5th!). Clipping that cyclist was an error, but from the way he fell away down the bank I doubt he had a chance to get the registration.

I am also sorry for calling you a pair of duplicitous c*nts - I now realise the front seats were never electrically operated.

Yours sincerely

Colin Crabstone

PS Thank you for the tea and biscuits

"Nation of shopkeepers" ie everyone is on the make and take.

Buy low, sell high and get rich quick, only fools do honest work for honest money.........

Well not everyone. I am not even slightly interested in the trading game, but that does seem to put me firmly in the minority.

I don't take much notice of the price asked in adverts for old vehicles. If I want it after trying it I'll offer my number no matter what fanciful number the seller was daydreaming of.

He takes it or leaves it.

It will probably cost the best part of a grand to get it here, then he will get all the low ball offers and if he gets lucky and finds a buyer he will end up with weeks of holding their hand helping them out with the registration process. So even though it looks like he is making a mint there is probably only about 500 quid in it and not worth the hassle. The grief I have had after selling my Peugeot 125 a couple of months ago. He seems to think because he paid slightly more than it would of cost him to buy it in France he has the right to text me at 11pm asking stupid questions. As much as I enjoy bringing weird and wonderful stuff in it just isn't worth the grief for the very small profits.

Loving the old skool handbrake with the maestro, I wonder if it's included in the sale?

well i never, i've not seen a chairman based one a Rover 'Metro, or a 5 door car.

Loving the fact that the rear light cut outs were clearly made for the  series Metro but have been "adapted" to take th K series lights...

I doubt it will sell at that price though.
