Hey Bollox a pal of mine is selling a 3.0 V6 Slag Estate for £400 if you want to tick the V6 box? MOT'd till April 1st (aren't all Laguna's?). He's near Derby.

LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING

I'm looking at this and thinking, hmm 2600 quid that's not bad.  The worlds gone mad, back in my day you could buy 6 xr3i, for £10 and still have money left over for steak buy and chips and a tin of sweet heart stout. 14 tins of Isopon and a catering size box of valve stem oil seals

Fixed that for you...

On a completely unrelated note, any Fifers know their way around yank motors?

Interestingly someone made a more than fair bid on this yesterday: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1965-MERCURY-PARKLANE-390-6-4-BIGBLOCK-V8-free-uk-mainland-delivery-/272115897302

I was a bit surprised it was bid that high. My ceiling for this heap would be something starting with a 2.

Before that, it was listed for a whopping £6,250 believe it or not: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=1965+MERCURY+PARKLANE+390+6.4+BIGBLOCK+V8&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&LH_Complete=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=SK3+0LX&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=3&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=200

For the current BIN of £4,850 I'd expect a tidier example. A lot tidier, in fact.

I love a non-Ghia, series 1 mark 2 on TRXes. A bit niche ,I know, but I really think it's the optimum look for a Granada . The 2.8i S was the only thing to get this look as standard ( in Britain) ,but apart from Jack Regans I don't think I've ever seen another.post-17414-0-13835400-1454449032_thumb.jpg

I know where a 2.0 GLi 5 speed with similar miles might be coming on the market, now the old bloke has started going a bit confused. Unfortunately the son isn't stupid and knows the current value.

Indeed. No mention of the rot that was starting to appear that he PM'd me about on the Manta forum. And he's not contacted me to say it's finally for sale. Best avoided I think.

The way it looks is a big part of the appeal. It's not too far from me so what's the harm in looking? I suspect the novelty of keeping the thing in fuel would wear off though

I do not understand OSF tax ... it's still a fucking Sierra,

Assuming that it's all genuine, where are you going to find a 200 bhp rwd saloon from 1988, which hasn't be rallied, or raced or lowered, or on it's 5th engine.

Okay it's NOT a 3 door, or a 4x4 but it is VERY nice.

Personally I'd prefer a Cav Turdo 4x4 but I prefer the underdog.
