Is that CX ,Scooter's old one? It's a shame how quickly a car can go down hill , although been vandalised doesn't help.

OMG a car I used to own. Mainly because of that 'sick' tailblazer. I think I sold it to that bloke for about £300 for repairs at it kept breaking down and I gave up when one of the struts exploded. We pushed it down the road a bit, then he called the AA to help him fix it after slipping a twenty in the mechanic's pocket.

Buy this car

It looks like he's sorted out everything that was wrong with it. I think he's even changed the gearbox - it leaked when I had it. The chap I bought it from was described as a 'cunt' on the BXforum and eventually left after falling out with essentially everybody on there. Sadly this does mean that the ad's suggestion that it has lots of history is not 100% accurate as I bought it with none in 2011 and I was sold it on the premise that it is 'probably clocked'. Still, it's pristine inside and out, rust free and it looks like the current owner has done a tremendous job of sorting out the things Bob Craske either pretended to do, or fucked up when he tried.

Heater hose explosion on the M1. I changed two rotten ones after, and I think the rest have been subsequently changed.

Strut explosion. Everything explodes!

Garaged overnight since new.

Even moved house with it :)

How strange, as I do believe WilsonWilson has bought it.

Last thing I need is another performance inhibited 1950s car with cosmetic challenges and an interior like a tramp's overcoat......BUT this is winking at me like a fit bird's unbuttoned blouse on the Piccadilly Line.

The bit about taking credit cards is worrying me, too.

That is actually an advantage as if you pay a deposit of £100 or more by credit card then the credit card company is equally liable for any repairs if it breaks down or it being a complete lemon etc. even if the garage goes bust or wont talk to you, you can still get you money out of the credit card company.... worlds best warranty.

Is deffo not a common rail lump?

It's a direct injection with electronic diesel control setup similar to the VE pump VW TDIs with an injection pump similar to your XM's.
