and while i'm on the subject of BMC'[s greatest* hits, have we had this one yet?

a tidy looking morris 1300, i wonder if it is as nice underneath as it looks on top?

and not alot of money either....

nice!!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1970-H-MORRIS-1300-SALOON-HISTORIC-TAX-STARTS-AND-STOPS-NEEDS-FINISHING-/121838235005?hash=item1c5e1fed7d:g:m50AAOSw0HVWDXQa

MoT history comes up with joyful messages such as

* vehicles underbody heavily undersealed

* Nearside Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive (5.2.6)
* Offside Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive (5.2.6)

THERE ARE A FEW SMALL HOLES IN THE FLOORPAN AREA THAT NEED DOING BUT NO OTHER WELDING NEEDED AS FAR AS I CAN SEE.

If I was in the market for one of these and I do like their clean lines I would run and not look back at this one.

Verdict = body shop chappy is a sculptor, possibly

I'm guessing the imminent clutch replacement won't be cheap though?

I've just sold mine for a grand as it needs imminent clutch/DMF/cambelt replacement along with nearly 200k on the clock. And it's a Cat C on the VCAR too.

Much as I would like a 1970 Eldorado, with nowhere undercover to store and play with one, when thinking Cadillac I have to think modernish.

I expect these are too Vectra to be worth the bother, even if I could find a petrol.  Probably shit.

attachicon.gifCapture.PNG

What about these? I quite like the slightly Vel Satis look.    Definitely shite.

attachicon.gifCapture1.PNG

£3500 for low miles and 245Hp puts it a fair bit cheaper than an XJ or an LS300

They all seem to be leather-lined V6 automatics.                                                                              Bring back Velour!

Also there is this in Kent: 134,000 miles (Manual) Gearbox Problems, Metallic blue with cream leather, usual age related marks. £400.00 ono   No pictures because Gumtree.  https://www.gumtree.com/p/cadillac/2005-cadillac-cts-spares-or-repairs/1143245237

I rented a later model Caddy CTS (2008-) for a week in Georgia a couple of years ago, expecting comedy awfulness.  I actually really liked it.  It was the smaller engined one (2.8?), and although it should have been a bit faster for that amount of capacity (and consumption) it was a pretty good drive including on Brit-sized twisty roads in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Very comfy and only a litle bit plasticky around the dash.

Verdict: would.

Fiat Panda 4x4 is on my bucket list.

This one sadly not a 4x4, but looks ok enough for not much cash. Currently £200.

Just in case anyone was thinking of having a punt...

While that's true, he's 'forgotten' to mention that it failed one on the 30th November:

Lovin' the poetry! This really should be recited over suitable AS slide-shows in a John Cooper-Clarke voice.

Of the late Minis these are (in my opinion) the nicest. Handsome alloys instead of the Lunar Rover wheels the Coopers had and not too lairy inside....although I do like the body colur dash that came with the run out Seven model.
