I often wonder about kit car designers.  How could one possibly stand back from the drawing board after sketching that and think "Yup, that looks good"?

IF, you could get the right engine, and make it handle right, with decent brakes, then the function COULD outweigh the aesthetics. However this would need a V12 with Quad Turbochargers, 12000 BHP and handling sorted by an F1 Team, to balance the books.

This thing is back on, now down to 100 quid start.  Given that these things seem to be making nearly as much as VW campers at the moment, that's got to be a bargain, even as fucked as it is.

I can't for the life of me figure out how I can explain/convince the wife that it's the right thing to do, then there's the purchase price and cost for collection as it's not exactly around the corner... fucketyfuckfuckfuck...

I can haz TEH SADZ now as I lost this beauty on evilbay.

 

I was previously warned by my wife that I was not to buy it under any circumstances, but that didn't deter me... I even increased my "maximum" limit three times during the course of the auction.  Sadly, it wasn't to be :-(

 

I really wanted this (kinda) as it's the car I most associate with my childhood - my mum had two (well she had Avengers) when I was growing up... she's gone now, but I had hoped to get the car as a little reminder... oh well, I'll just have to spendz da money on my Rover project.

On second thoughts it has the makings of an excellent limo for Hen Partiez/dogging.

The most valuable bit is the Ghia X Exec back seat, wonder if the front seats are in there somewhere?
