On our local faceache buy/sell for £400 with a dented door and blowing exhaust,  it says to pm but as you can't, contact him here https://plus.google.com/117140620562261248819/about?gl=uk&hl=en

As an added win,  logging in to the group to pinch the photo I found one of Ms C's mates advertising a load of Scalextric for £20 so now she's off to pick that up later in the week :)

A manual FTO would satisfy my idiotic need for a small Japanese V6 coupe.

What's wrong with these FTOs? I've seen them going for very little money

Used to have one of those (same colour) - lovely car with top drawer handling!

Saw one similar to this in Liverpool recently, giffer driven light blue one on a Y suffix plate, Megashite!  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-VOLKSWAGEN-POLO-C-BLUE-/171780440652?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27fee9824c

More late 80's Family hatchback brilliance...  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-NISSAN-MICRA-LS-WHITE-ONLY-56000-miles-/201345379807?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2ee11eaddf

Title typo is easily forgiven...   http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-ZX-1991-MOT-1360cc-Starts-stops-runs-well-Nice-condition-comfy-/371323778603?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item56749f362b

This vehicle has been dry stored for the past 28 years & is in a very salvageable remarkable condition.

It's fucked then...

I've always thought the seats, especially the rears, look really uncomfortable in these...  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-Ford-Fiesta-1-4-Ghia-CVT-Automatic-Low-Miles-53K-BARN-FIND-Retro-Classic-/221766249931?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item33a24c6dcb

Aren't these fairly bulletproof?

Mine wasn't (1.6GLXi) - more shit went wrong with it than I care to remember... thermostat jammed, 2 x ABS sensors failed, bonnet catch broke (this was a nightmare to sort), ignition lock fell to bits, trim fell to bits etc etc. All this on a six year old, one owner 45000 mile car. I only had it a year, when the clutch went I weighed the bastard in. Luckily it had been written off by a stupid woman putting a crease all the way up one side of it by this time - I'd been paid out & bought it back off the insurance as it still had some MOT - so I was only too happy to send it to the 'bridge.

Perversely, the supposedly crap 'proper' Skoda I had before, a Favorit, was brilliant!

No room, poor steering, rev-crazy engine a bad match for the auto-box that most have.

Grey import stigma.

Lots of alternatives for anyone in the same market sector: Alfa GTV, Hot Civic, Impreza, Hyundai poopScoupe.

None of those alternatives have any room in them, either - and an Impreza's not a coupe.

You're right about the autobox and grey import stigma, though.

Makes me laugh when people see a £500 GPX and say, 'Nar, they're shit and well slow'. Aye, cos 170bhp £500 cars grow on trees....
