Yep. That's rather a lot more than he gave me for it, too, and he doesn't seem to have done a great deal to it - he's stuck a fresh MoT on it but it wouldn't have needed much for a ticket anyway. :roll:

That's right boys and girls, when you pull the plug out you'll have a nice handful of exposed mains pins...

 

I'm not sure I get what the problem is. Looks to me like the same sort of connector you use to hook a caravan up to the mains. So long as you shut off the mains first it's perfectly safe, shirley?

 

There is nothing wrong with that connector, no mains pins are ever exposed...these are the same leads used to hook up campers etc

 

 

That's a mains outlet being used as an inlet, picture what's going to go into it, sticky out pins with electric in them. Don't you be wiring any plugs guys.

Not going to pea roast caravan electrics for fear of a 'shroom cloud over Cavetteville but I was genuinely worried that the 'males things go in female things' had to be explained!

There again I knew someone who made an extension lead with a three pin plug either end as it's all they had.

Yep me. Put hand up to it.

What a C U Next Tuesday.

Got a fair whack off it.

Lesson learnt.

 

EDIT Fuggin 'ell don't post a Regal or was it the Invacars, that were nicknamed three pin plugs!!
