Don't start to read the ad without a cuppa and getting comfy, you may be gone some time. Canny car though.

This seems remarkably cheap on a £300 Buy It Now for a straight, tidy BX needing a little bit of MIG action.  Poor chap's changed it for a Picasso.

£300 for a veg munching BX with 10 months MOT .... even with the odd crusty bits it looks like a right bargain.

It's in Retford too, so easy to get to by train.

Half Granada , half El Camino win win win

This reminds me of the home made mk2 Granada El Camino that was the pace car at Ringwood Raceway in the early 90s. I remember my dad telling me it had a Rover V8. Certainly went sideways without much trouble as the driver used to drift it into the infield at the end of the start lap - brave man given the 30+ bangers he would have been facing if he overcooked it.

According to the internet this was its ultimate (and not unexpected) fate:

Why can't he say who it is? Let's make it a quiz... My guess is Norman Beaton from Desmonds?

Apparently it was Sam Kelly which came as a genuine shock to me as I had no idea that he had died. :(

As the classic car dealers like to say: 'in original condition, with a delightful and charming level of patination, just as one likes to find them . . . '

Should have kept it in a 'barn', then?
