Father bought a special edition Dyane Cote d'azur from Big Mike's. It had been very badly repaired after a serious engine fire and was a total dog.

Wowzers.... how clean is that?!?!?

sadly i bet its been some old dears pride an joy, and now that they have given up driving (or dead) the car is going to end up in the hands of some mongtard who's going to slam it onto its arse, stick some goppin' wheels on it, rip that sweet little motor out of it and "install" some smokey POS redtop in it.

What a shame.... If onl.y i had somewhere to put in... :-(

Either you put it somewhere, or it is going to end up in the hands of some mongtard who's going to slam it onto its arse, stick some goppin' wheels on it, rip that sweet little motor out of it and "install" some smokey POS redtop in it.

Do not disappoint me.

There used to be a character* that drank in my local pub ,who called 2.3 Cortinas 'Full English' . This was apparently because he had a ritual of stealing a 2.3 Cortina then going to the cafe for a full breakfast before going on a 'job' , his thinking was if he got caught it'd be porridge for a while.

Why use a 2.3 cortina they were rubbish my old 1.6 Renault 18 used to wipe the floor with them back in the day. Only any good in a straight line I overtook my mate's one across a village green one night as he was so slow.

I had one, I remember being mildly dissappointed. it sounded great, but was barely any quicker than a 2.0 and used loads more fuel. I shoved a 2.8 in mine instead which was much better

I never understood myself, the 2.3s nearly always seemed to be autos too. I suppose like all Fords they were easy to nick and no self respecting armed robber is ever going to use a Renault. Although crediting this bloke with any intelligence at all is not a good idea, he'd spent most of his 50 years inside, in fact he died of a stroke in Bedford prison, maybe he wouldn't have if he gave a bit more thought to his choice of getaway cars.

Love it. Who'd a thought the tide would get that far up Porlock Hill?

Ha ha, yes; and you should have seen the amount of water regularly inside the car which caused the tide mark !

The Cortina would have been better with the 2.8 in it. I had an auto 2.3, it was pretty shit but most of that was down to the gearbox. I now have a 2.0 manual pinto one and it feels better plus it's cheap and easy to get sparkly performance bits for it.

Genuine garage find late-plate Maxi in JRG.

At this price it's almost worth Vulgalour buying it to rob a displacer...
