I have that carpet in the TV room. Has very good rubber backing, but no way.

Oh god, not that 132 again.

It's been on here several times and since he's still asking £2,750, it's still not tempting interesting [edit - bit harsh].  Seller can FRO with his blacked out windows and stretched tyres, too.

To be fair, that actually DOES look like a Series II with Defender bits, not a straight ringer. Still got leaf springs! A proper 'bitsa.'

That's why I put the emphasis on the might. It was the window that I was looking at which made me think it was actually older and not dodgy, not to clued up on these though TBH.

That is PHIT isn't it. However as these are generally considered to 'hide their rot really well' and 'rot from the inside out', one with the amount of rot showing is going to be PHUCKED isn't it? If its got to that state at the front and back where its visible what other horrid bits hidden away have been neglected?

Perfect to do as a Dukes of Hazard replica though and take away on one of those totally hilarious banger rallies.

Have you ever sat in the ballroom at The Ritz? The Captain's table on the Queen Mary? Top floor of the Burj Al Arab hotel eating lobster bollocks off the back of a naked supermodel?

Well that's fuck all. Fuck all, you hear me? You haven't lived until you've been faced with this on a daily basis, and when you have my friend, you will know how life for the very elite is.

'Built by an experienced engineer and modelled by Rowley Birkin, who was very, very drunk. Or possibly it was built by Rowley Birkin who was very, very very drunk and it's being modelled by an experienced engineer? I can't remember, I'm pissed. The trike led me to this.'

That's a South African Golf init?

Yes indeedy, a Citigolf. Basically a mk1 with some mk2 running gear. Would, especially at that money: all the benefits of an older car, only newer.

Ah, but we let you out again for free. Took us 25 years and two bridges to start collecting the money on the right side of the river, mind.

I was going to say this is one of those lottery win type cars but a lottery win might not be enough.

Also look in the window. Why is there someone on a trampoline? Is that his wife saying "I'm not coming off this tampoline until you fucking sell that car!"

Don't get me started on that bridge toll (it's on the wrong side by the way...), I have family in Swansea and it gets bloody expensive!  That said, I was dreading taking my rented Transit van through a few weeks ago as vans are charged even more, I think it's about £11 now - but it got weird, I went to a manned booth, the operator was too busy talking to a collegue to pay much attention to me, I handed over a fiver and then whilst I was counting out the remaining coins in my hand, realised he'd opened the gate and was waiting for me to go!  Couldn't complain too much about that.

It seems ZXs are so undesirable just now, you can get some right bargains.

They're looking for around £300 for this. Just under 50K miles and MOT 'til next March.
