I have heard back from the seller and he speaks English better than my French and will be viewing it a week on wednesday. I can't bring it straight back as we will have the caravan and it's a non runner but I should be able to get it shipped if a deal is done. Here have a better picture or two

Qualz.  I do like a nice Juvaquatre.  I assume those wheels will not be staying on it though...?

What year is it?  I think later ones had a Renner Four engine, which should make life easier parts-wise than the old 4CV or sidevalve versions.

I reckon Z3s have aged well. Cheap, if you can forget about the poor image of BMWs. What are their weak spots?

There 1.9 motor has 115bhp so it must be pretty dismiss as sports car. I'd make room in my life for a 2.8 one though .

I could cope with 115 - though the ads suggest 140 was also available. Is the 4 pot a bit of a dog, though?

Wind noise, lack of interior cubby holes, dances over road imperfection badly, all compared to Alfa Spider of same era. Well built. Mine has notchy box but whether a fault or feature I can't say as I've not driven another 2.8. Mostly 3 series parts so not too expensive, don't think I've seen a rusty one.

The 16v is 140bhp, the 8v is 115 but I didn't think they put the 16v in these.

I just sold my 318i with the 8v motor and it was okay but certainly not sporty.

Not sporty - meaning they don't like revs?

Gotts to say......

I saw a well fit ma'am driving a White [...ooohhh, dodgy colour sometimes...] 2 door 1series beemer, last night.

I wouldn't say 'coupee', but the combo was well fit (car + bint).

We sayinn a 1 can be had with serious grunt..??????

.... not related to that squat 'Scwartzenigger' lookinn sort of thinggie... Coop thinngie, Z summat >>> 'spew burger' (guy driving it MUST sport a syrup)

just sayyin, like

Anyone fancy this? 450 quid. It's a breaker that's got it but he says it's tidy. Tested too apparently. In mildenhall so I can't see it lasting long before a banger racer gets his claws into it. Would be an ideal shiters car

[Mk 2 Cavalier]

Shame to see that die when it could happily live.  GL spec (from the wheels, I R anorak) means BLUE VELOUR IN ABUNDANCE.  I'm nowhere near Mildenhall and have no time this week and no space, but don't mind contributing fundage if one of our East Anglian comrades feels up to a rescue mission?

That ant scrap cars guy often picks up tidy looking borderline classics, then loves posting them up with the BUY IT OR ILL CRUSH IT line.

He does the same rant saying only banger racers put their hands in their pocket blah blah. Seems a bit of a cock.

Regardless, it's a nice looking cav, and at 450 with near a years ticket I don't think he's being unreasonable in what he's asking.
