anyone know anything about xc90's I've got a minor lob on for this? I hear the t6 consumes petrol like a sinkhole under a fuel depot

 

 

I heard it consumes auto gearboxes at a similar rate, which is what put me off one. Fuel you can budget for, it being off the road and costing billions for a new box, less so. Volvo forums were full of tales of woe last I looked and they still aren't that cheap.

Yes the fuel thing is crazy, and for no appreciable benefit. They're slow and seem to lack torque, I drove one 800 miles across France and no matter how careful I was, the fucking thing would not stay in top gear, using cruise was impossible as it would kick down 2 gears if the wind changed let alone a slight gradient.

Oh, and apparently you only find out the 4x4 doesn't work anymore when you actually need it.

 

Non of this stops me looking at the V8 ones and wondering when they'll get cheap.

Pretty little thing round the corner from me. Had a bit of paper in the windscreen for couple of weeks and I assume it's not for sale elsewhere. I'm in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield if anyone wants me to grab the phone number.

I'd be interested to know more about that Mini, not least how much is it?  Also, does the private plate come with, as it clearly isn't a 1970 car.

I imagine they are thirsty as they're a big old bus but I don't think you'll find a safer car for the money. A trade off I'd happily make if I were a family man on a (slightly larger than Autoshite) budget.

i love the subaru SVX, though i think it will be a love unrequited.

 

expensive and to complicated, but, i think they are such a wonderful shape.

 

the number of horribly expensive things that could and do go wrong.....

I love that 'raised letter'-style font on the number plate, possibly my favourite number plate font of all.

 

I went to the gumtree link to take a look and it's sold already. Not surprised at that price. Especially attractive to font-pervs. :)
