I was looking at that just the other evening - lovely.

I feel the same way about this...

And that Skoda.....!

We just need Junkman to glare at anyone who even thinks of painting it.

Skoda painting verboten!

Ditto replacement of rear bumpershite.

Furthermore, behold speedometer with daft increments and Lamborghinishite in background.

I love the fact that the speedo on those only goes to 100...

That's a vast step up from the federally mandated 1979-1982 85 max speedos.

What I find at least equally daft is fitting all cars with 140 - 160 speedos.

The Toyota Yarises for example have 140 mph speedometers, despite the Vmax of the top model is 109 mph.

I didn't know they did that. Funny the way Americans think isn't it...? "If it doesn't say it can, people won't try..."

Didn't smiley Transits all have 160mph speedos?  I know my 190TD did.  It ran out of revs at just under half that.

I blame Junkers with his Dirty Diesel one, if this was a Beetle I'd hate it , but I could see myself doing a Hagrid and driving it home. What's $12,500 in real money anyway? A couple of grand or so?

In a better world you would be using it as the work car. (Good luck with the Merc. by the way)

According to the clock, my Stagea can do 180. However, it's been re-jigged from Kph, so now it's just optimistic :)

Similar to hiding away cigarettes, isn't it? "If they can't see them, people won't smoke..."

Politicians really believe we are as daft as they are.

True. If hiding cigarettes was the answer to the world's nicotine problem, my other half would be at least 150 quid better off per month.

Seems to work with car mechanicals though ("if people can't see it, many will assume it runs by pure witchcraft..")

Tell her to get an E-cig. Since I have mine, I went from 30+ packs of fags a month to four or five.

So including the cost of the E-cig stuff, I'm down from 200 quid to about 50 per month.

Oh, and buy a car with a federally mandated 85 OMGMPH speedo, because that's what this forum is actually about.

That Alfa is lovely, though why we're in the tat thread I don't know!
