eBay tat volume 3.

I'll put this here purely because the listing has to be seen to be believed.  It contains so many pictures and so much text I went cross-eyed.  If ever there was a case of less is more...

There's more pictures in that ebay listing than I've ever put up here I think!

And I still hate it...

That camper advert has filled up my computer and now pictures of rusty metal are spilling out of the side.

Interestingly, "OMG 1 FORMER OWNER CAMPER!!!11" seems to have the steering wheel on the wrong side. Can we assume it had at least fourty half-arsed owners in whatever country it came from? I'm so glad they took a picture of the discarded furry steering wheel cover, that's the deal done for me.

Saw this at a show recently. It had a for sale sign on it then, but I didn't ask how much he was after because I didn't want to know. Hope it sells for an absolute fortune so I know I didn't miss out.

Poor condition. Must be seen.

TERRIBLE CONDITION! MUST BE SEEN! FIRST TO SEE WILL SAY BYE!

It actually looks pretty good in the photographs, this might be a bargain for someone with realistic standards of an F reg Metro.

Ever wondered what a car's facial expression would be if you kicked it in the nuts?

It looks lovely, and with 76k on the clock - but hopefully the owner's a perfectionist who sees the worst in it and will take an offer well under the £450 price once you start pointing out tiny faults.

No mention of tax/mot.

I'm thinking of taking a look myself: I'm spending a lot of time nipping from one village to another, on my own, in big gas guzzling cars. Something like this might therefore be quite cheap once lower fuel costs are added to the mix. Anyone know what a Metro City might have to offer OMGMPG-wise?

Slightly bashed up Prius for 1200 quid.

There's got to be more to the story than this as it doesn't look to bad. I imagine the damage now means the ignition has connected the high voltage system up to the heated seats so flicking the stereo to radio 2 will send 1.21 gigawatts straight up your rectal cavity.

Oh definitely worth a look if you're nearby. I rarely measure my economy but I've had 45mpg from a 1275 Mini on a long A road trip with an engine block in the boot and 39mpg from a 1275cc Sprite again on an A road trip. In neither case was I driving economically. With that one litre engine and the Metro's (presumably) better aerodynamics, I reckon 50mpg would be achievable without much effort.

used to get 40 mpg as an average from a metro. less if you rag it obviously

Yeah, that's what I thought, thanks gents. In other words the fuel cost will probably be about half that of my Saab or Merc. GR8 4 JUSTIFYIN SHITE PURCHASE TO THE MRS

Saying what?

How much for the V5?

I've put this on my Watch list, just in case.  I don't really need it, or want it massively, but it does look rather lovely if you ignore the seat fabric and the stick-on grille.  Original and unmolested in a flattering hue.   I could certainly be happy living with one of these.

Off the road for 22 years with signs of the usual knocks and scrapes these little rattleboxes get.  Grey primer exactly where you'd expect it but being a B reg it's actually probably very solid.  It's tempting me as it's almost on my doorstep and they are fun to throw around town, but I do recall the insurance was peculiarly high.  Still, get in there and get a slice of German Autoshite before the pineapple boys beat you to it.
