Like the maser but a 425 ?? Not the best to have I had a 425 and a 2,8 spyder there was no comparison the 2.5 was gutless and will be a disappointment. So if your going to buy a rotten maser get a 2.8 or even the 2.0 quad cam much more fun. The auto is actually better than the manual to live with though

Agreee with the 2.8 efi comment, but I've not noticed any problems with the manual box in my 222 SE - the ratios are spot-on for the engine power.

Plus, since it's fitted with a ZF dog-leg gearbox, I can always sell it to a rally driver when the car terminally dissolves

I can just imagine some mulleted idiot sitting proudly beside that at a car show, wearing a string vest.

Having seen the car at a show........................you'd be suprised how close to the truth that statement is :shock:

$(KGrHqN,!g8E-6Devm-gBQFF-1nGvQ~~60_3.JPG

I PURCHASED THE CAR 3 YEARS AGO FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER.

THE LNA HAD SAT PARKED UP IN THEIR GARAGE SINCE 1985/86 DUE TO THE REAR SILENCER HAVING FALLEN OFF!!..

DUE TO IT BEING UNUSED SINCE IT WAS 2 1/2 YEARS OLD, IT HAS NEVER BEEN MOT'D!..

Sounds fishy. The owner stopped using the car when it was two years old cos the exhaust fell off?

Who was the owner? This guy?

Been watching "Confessions Of A Windowcleaner"? Fancy a bit of that, but can't be arsed climbing ladders?

Get yourself one of these for perving on the ladies:

You've seen the picture!

If anyone does buy that can they come round and take the top out of the Yew tree in my front garden. :)

Plus he's flushed the tank out, but the car doesn't run due to stale fuel in the tank?

Dangerously tempting, I just wish the vendor would knock the current bids back though so (hopefully) I can see how much he doesn't want for it. No bother though, eyes on a newer (Mk4) diesel Disastrerer with EPIC levels of HGF which should be a fair bit cheaper than the above little love machine.

I thought the Ford 50+ Reader's Wives had already been spoken for?

Indeed. :)

I like it all the same. I'd give £400 for it and maybe do a Saxo VTS engine transplant. 8)
