Would imagine it had replacement second hand clocks and then the mileage was subsequently corrected.

I would wager that ham fisted Mot operator mistakenly typed in 109083 rather than 59083. The rest of the mileage history then seems to stack up

Fabulous. A £250 scooter made £500 worse for just* £875.

Doesn't seem outrageously expensive and I cannot think of the last time I saw one of these, they were never that common when new.  Weren't they a late addition to the range from Holden's catalogue?

A bit of extra tidying up could have this looking pretty mint - repainting the little tidemarks under the rear bumper would make for an instant improvement.

These are hovering around the outer edges of my radar lately, a bit modern really but they're pretty and seem to be quality items in general.  This seems absurdly cheap, too.  I am however confused by BMW model desginations, a colleague owns a near-identical 520 which is apparently a 2.3.  So who knows what a 523 is, or what this one is.

Here's another Mk3 Transit with what Billy would call the "wrong" engine.  I would beg to differ - my first ever big van was almost identical to this (except sans windows) and that would roll along at 90 - try that in an early DI.

I love how he can't spell "Kubota" even though it's written in fugging 4" high letters down the side of the tractor.

The GGG has been puzzled by this car when drooling all over it at Lake View Garage.

The fact of it having been at Lake View Garage is a guarantee that it is good.

So what do we have here?

A Series 2 P6 that has been festooned with Series 1 bits, including 1970 only rear door frames sans opening quarter lights?

Or a 1970 Series 1 P6 that has been festooned with Series 2 bits?

1973 Reg doesn't help to clarify matters.

Only the chassis number could tell. Or not.

However, there is this:

s-l1600.jpg

Plus, it is equipped with extremely htf NADA bits, such as electric windows and aircon.

My advice is to toss all your inhibitions towards originality and customise it to your heart's desire.

He said he'd take £275 for it. Chester or Wrexham somewhere.
