Eyersey1234
The Matiz is now known as Bluebottle as a) its blue and b) fits with the naming of most of my previous cars. The Focus is called Henry in case anyone wondered. Jim Bell, Dan302 and mrbenn
Eyersey1234
Some of my workmates had a look round Bluebottle earlier and the concensus of opinion is its a tidy car. Dan302 and Jim Bell

Eyersey1234
I've posted a picture I got of the sound mirror in the Warshite thread. The sound mirrors were put in in WW1 to detect enemy planes and Zeppelins coming over. Jim Bell and Dan302
Eyersey1234
Just had a call from the garage, Henry costing about £900 for full service, cambelt, water pump, alternator belt and new sump. At least he'll be fully sorted. Jim Bell, The Moog, mrbenn and 1 other
Eyersey1234
Bluebottle has done about 180 miles since purchase so far and has used about half a tank of pez, giving a rough average fuel economy so far of 46.7mpg (rounded off). Henry averages about 50mpg under normal driving, on a decent run he can do high 50s low 60s mpg. mrbenn, Dan302 and Jim Bell

Eyersey1234
Can any of my fellow shiters in the Hull/East Yorkshire area recommend an air conditioning service company? I'm planning on getting Henry's air con serviced as no idea when it was last done. Jim Bell and Dan302
Eyersey1234
On my way to pick Henry up from the garage now, they are just finishing it off. Apparently the water pump was a brute to get off so took them longer than they expected. Jim Bell

Eyersey1234
In total including today's bill Henry has cost me about £1500 in 10 months on running repairs, servicing etc. Not bad for a 12 year old car with nearly 187k on the clock. Eyersey1234
Henry clicked over 187k earlier, he's running much better since the service. Anyone know where I can get some heat proof paint from to paint the sump with? Jim Bell

Eyersey1234
Just been working out Henry's fuel economy, I've done 193.4 miles since Friday and used 16.08 litres giving a rounded average of 54.66mpg. Edit, this is on a mix of A road, B Road and dual carriageway driving. Jim Bell, egg, The Moog and 1 other
Eyersey1234
Bluebottle the Matiz will be going up for sale in the next week or two. The only known issues with it are the air con not working and a slight noise under braking in traffic. I would rather it went to one of my fellow shiters. Yours for the £250 I paid or will roffle at £5 a ticket. Forgot to add MOT until December. Dan302 and Jim Bell
Eyersey1234
EML on Henry extinguished again, let's see how long it stays off for. The remaining fault code is to do with the glow plugs. Also do any of my fellow shiters in the Hull area have access to a ramp or axle stands I could borrow so I can paint the sump please?
