Re insurance I think you've done well, when I was 24 I had to pay £1600 for my C70, that was 8 years ago and was mainly down to London I think as well as my age.

Oh man! I feel sorry for you!

 

Good luck with this. I had an M reg 850 GLE estate 2.5 20v auto in metallic burgundy with a tan interior. Lovely old barge it was and it was fast! I got it at a bargain price too (£150 I think!) as the owner was moving abroad and he thought the head gasket had gone. It hadn’t, it’s just the dipstick on these is right on the front of the engine and is prone to condensation inside the tube which makes it look like hgf when you pull the stick out!

They’re more modern feeling than the older rwd models and much quicker and better handling, but still unmistakably a Volvo.

Sadly my old one died not long after I sold it as the new owner used to rag its tits off and ignored the atf levels.
