It has been serviced every year for the last 4 at least, unsure of what history remains as I did it myself so the receipts may have gone for a stroll. Haha

well removed the timing belt, and tensioner, you had it one tooth out, thats what the tapping noise was, runs even smoother :-D :-D was she having it serviced by halfords, battery, airfilter, haflfords jobbies, had she gone over to dark side ,tracking is out, needs two front tyres, still a great motor, had it up on ramp, solid old thing,no welding needed zilch, sprayed on hycote wax, will keep it through winter, put on steering disclock, that will keep scrotes atbay, put bosch higher  h4 bulbs in,side light bulbs upgraded to whitevision philips bulbs, tis winter after all, found new fuel filter £1.29 amazon, :-D other service bits got,not done yet,

new pollen filter fitted,was well manky,brakes seem fine,gearbox fine,fluid change done,with tracking being out,may get rid of tie rod ends,inner tie rods,they are original,rusty,most likely seized,so easier,cheaper to replace,oil change soon,taiwans brew,bosch filter,hope its not raining tomz..

I use most Halfords stuff on cheap old motors especially with my discount...cheap as chips and never had a problem. Timing belt went back in exactly the same place so I wonder if it’s jumped at some stage. Had my 1.8 manta jump 3 teeth once hitting a speed bump. Can’t explain it. Haha.

too true on the older chod, even some newer stuff aswell, :-D :-D  its proven to be great runaround, fine on fuel, better than honda rover automatic, done the wheelarch, put on kurust, red lead stuff, stank the place out, bought tin spray paint pound shops finest...

Superb. Looks like an incredibly cheap motoring solution and truly the ethos of this place. Here’s hoping you get thousands of miles from it for absolute peanuts and I look forward to the Roffle in a few months time!

You could paint the steels a different colour for that extra pazazz, but I see your point. They go well with those stickers.
