Soon I shall be setting out on a collection, and meeting up with another serial AS’er before proceeding onwards to a third prolific shiter’s abode.

More news as progress happens!

Breakfast has been achieved. The mug is a proper piece of AS tat, a promotional mug by A&W who were an automotive paint supplier - the mug dates at least from the early 80’s. My Dad had a load of them because he did a lot of car bodywork repairs at the time, I kept two of them because they’re about half as big again as a normal mug and I like the very 80’s print on the side.

Plenty of sitting down and drinking tea going on, a sure fire winner in my book. Can we have a clue?

I have to report I'm running behind schedule. Bus caught in traffic = missed train. Next train 20 min late.

Dawlish achieved.

The bridges to civilisation.

Clues? Bit difficult without giving the game away. Two South West Shiters converging on the same point to collect two cars from another shiter...

Been there myself. From memory the train splits into a single carriage and then goes up quite a steep hill (for a train), but also has to wait at level crossings for cars.

Would the two cars in question be French and painted in metallic colours?

Maybe

It"a a well trod path!

After some leg power, we have achieved bus.

I anticipated holbeck would be the next owner of the Douai product.  Will find out soon if I'm right!

The end.

Final short hop in a Viking Shortboat with a very subtle horn.

Mr Holbeck with his new steed. Driving position best described as a snug fit.

And me with my slice of beige frenchness.

Safely back in my bit of Devon, 55 miles from HMC central. 3 hours by public transport, 1 hour and 15 minutes by car. No pez shot as plenty to get home in the tank.

Big thanks to HMC once again. .....A1 seller would repeatedly buy French cars from.

The 19 is a bit of a snug fit for lanky legs me (as predicted by 83C during our bus trip).

Back home too, lasagne in the oven.

Xantia performed impeccably, warm and comfortable. Many thanks to HMC, would buy from yet again!
