Most excellent to meet Chris and to have a natter. I really hope you enjoy the F, she is a bit of a tatty, one eared ginger tom (yes I know, gender mismatch there) but I always had a grin on my chops when the hood was down and the engine was on song. Long may it continue.

Trying to get to the north west from the south after dark is s thankless task these days with all the bloody road closures everywhere.

My record is 7 hours from MK to Burnley leaving at 22.00 with the Saab from Zel earlier in the year.

Ridiculous, isn't it? M6 was closed J2-4, so I thought I'd do A50. That was closed at M1, so I thought I'd do Woodhead. That was closed, so I had to go up to Leeds and along the M62. Then, the M62 was closed at Rochdale, so had to cut through Heywood.

 

Glad I don't drive for a living anymore.

Quick update and report. Driven this for a couple fo days, including a brief jolly with Sporty Jr, with roof down. Drives nicely, and is fairly quick. Feels quite comfortable, but I feel like the drivers seat is too high, so I'm looking down at the clocks, and the steering wheel feels low. 

 

Still like it, though, and am seriously considering clearing the garage out and parking it up, at least over winter, but possibly as a long term "investment". 

 

I'll see how I get on with it for a week or two, whilst I try to track down the misfire on the Clio, and will then make a decision.

You can get lowering springs for the seat for not much money. I found that the seats are quite high in mgfs.
