Taxation class completely academic until you actually have it back. Apologies if I’ve missed something - but if it’s all ready, it’s time to get it home.

Are you volunteering? The distance is the same either way. At present I am on hospital appointments every 10 days on average which makes planning trips difficult. More than happy to give you a hand loading it!

You’ll know I’m not averse to a daft collection. Just 10 days ago I did Devon to Cambridge in a car that hadn’t turned a wheel in 8 years. 230 stupid miles through bank holiday traffic with little in the way of brakes, half an exhaust and a snapped coil spring. Forgive me for feeling my credentials are sound.

I am, however, confused as to why moving it is a challenge for either of us? It very much feels like one for the owner.

Plus- giving me the keys to an invacare would be like signing its death warrant. A highly amusing* Clarkson-esque disaster would be befall it almost immediately. On camera. In High Definition. Publicly.

This would make an epic TV series. Maybe get Michael Palin to co-star and do narration duties?

Whereabouts is the tripod?

Scotland is a big country. A couple of years ago I did Wirral to Peterhead and back in a day which is a round trip of 780 miles

peterhead1.png.8b12b7ae20057a6af9201c606cce4a52.png

The trip really was a killer. A killer in a two year old Hyundai Ioniq. A killer in a two year old Hyundai Ioniq with autonomous cruise control. A killer in a two year old Hyundai Ioniq with autonomous cruise control and active lane keep assist.

A dozen or more years ago I used to drive an artic from Liverpool to Aberdeen and back in a day and that was double crewed with another driver. We were both totally fucked when we got back.

We're all going off topic. It's for Lightbulb to tell us when he's collecting the Sp*z Ch*ariot and driving it south. We're nearly 400 pages into this thread and it looks to me like it's never been driven and never will be driven. Tell me I'm wrong.

Many years ago I had a friend who owned a totally fucked 1.0 Chrysler Sunbeam and every time it clocked up another 220 urban miles without breaking down he'd proudly tell us "Look! It would have made it to Tunbridge Wells to see that bird with the big arse!"
