hammy Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 A bit bare at the moment but I've got a few I can add now and more later. A rather crusty Volvo 121 spotted a few weeks ago near the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. A H reg Nova Merit 1.2 which I briefly owned between November 2008 and January 2009. Had 87k on the clock and 1 owner for most of its life A Metro I snapped in Abingdon a couple of years ago from my work archive - sadly the drive by shooting didn't fully work. I'll add more in due course
Guest Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Shame the Metro pic has only half captured the registration - don't suppose Google Streetview have got around to that part of the world yet?
hammy Posted August 6, 2009 Author Posted August 6, 2009 Adding in some Malta shite, I just couldnt snap away fast enough as tat came from every angle and the missus got more upset. Can't recommend a visit enough if you've not been. In the classic car museum, the guy said that the new MOT system and euro emissions would almost certainly spell the end for much of this stuff in the near future. Certainly the bus fleets are supposed to be replaced during 2010. Dennis Dustcart, there were older Seddons about but didn't get snaps Ford D-Series Mk5 Tina Talbot Crap photo of one of many Hunter (or derived Rootes stuff) knocking around. Worst of which was a beige Hunter estate on XR3 "egg poacher" alloys Ex Tesco Leyland T45 (Freighter?) The Crapi Ghia Fiat 127 Austin Metro Mk2 Transit (endorsed by Roy Rogers) Owner also had an AWD TK truck Mk2 Cortina estate (lush)

I saw this too! Love the ex Tesco Leyland still liveried up!

hammy Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 I loved it, wish I had the dosh to go back again with more camera batteries and time to spot. The few I took in the classic car museum were:
Albert Ross Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Holy crap! Fiat 132 and Lynx Eventer......mmmmmm!
hammy Posted August 7, 2009 Author Posted August 7, 2009 Forgot this, early 80's Corolla similar to one an uncle of mine had. Will's IV apparently?

LaughingNot sure whether Google Streetview got it, but I certainly did. Its near my old college and not too far from where I'm working at the moment. Its still taxed until October. I took the photo easily 2 years ago whilst doing some site visits in Abingdon where it lives, I must admit I thought it would have died by now!
hammy Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 A few from a weekend down in Bristol Hippy Mellor bodied Ford Transit camper Mk2 Fiesta 1.1 on Bristol plates, looked like a total one owner minter. Half finished XX pack Crapi 2.0, very 1993 looking Audi 100 estate

hammy Posted August 17, 2009 Author Posted August 17, 2009 1962 'Auntie' Rover, been off the road for 10 years this year. Must have been brought on a truck here, as the company has not owned this yard for that length of time. Looked so flakey even the banger mob would think twice. BMW 635i, been untaxed for 2 years Doris got out of this late spec 1.1 Ghia, looks like a 1 owner job but it wasnt exactly a minter - sills looked pretty much on the way out next MOT. A pair of limo's out of use Same locationThis Jug is still justabout taxed, 1986 according to Doovla records. 1971 Roller hasnt been taxed since August 19991978 Merc taxed until next yearAnother DaimlerResprayed 84 Daimler DS420 also still taxed**ck knows what this was?Or this?

hammy Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Two of these in as many weeks, saw this today in Banbury. Love the cheapo checkerplate on the sills painted white. Followed this beauty into Didcot off the A34 today, had to get the other half to get the camera and snap it. Being driven by an old boy who could barely see over the wheel.
hammy Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 More stuff from a weekend visit to Malta I think this Cressida was dumped, shame as it was exactly the same shade of brown as the one my Dad owned for a bit whilst I was a nipper.
brammy777 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Whered you go?! But anyway, good shots. The Cressida being another 'worst car for fake alloy of the year' candidate.
hammy Posted March 3, 2010 Author Posted March 3, 2010 Stayed in Bugibba again, but visits around the Island and to Gozo with Mk2_Craig in tow. Diesel Montego Dodge S50 dropside Datsun Marina looked tidy from a distance, but upclose the brush marks in the paint were terrible Any clues on this thing? warren t claim Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I feel a Maltese holiday coming on! Top spots!
Mash Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Wow there's some nice stuff there, the B310 Sunny van and KE10 Corolla would be my choices to bring home. And that Cedric taxi is ACE Er, but what about the white Hyundai Stellar here? Shame on you!
pandamonium Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Nice to see the Lada Samara in its natural surroundings!
pandamonium Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Lada Tavria Actually a ZAZ Tavria. It was sold as a Lada in some countries only, but never built by AUTOVAZ.A Ukranian car.
Milford Cubicle Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Is that an Arna? I'm sure I can see the outline where the Alfa trim has dropped off.
Split_Pin Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Solid gold spottings there Yellow Sunny Van for me please.I wonder if there are any of those old 'Revopak' S&D refuse collectors left from the 70s?
