Fancy doing a track day?

Never quite got round to it?

Don't want to put the extra miles on your Allegro?

Look no further.

Saturday 15th September there is a javelin trackday at Blyton Park. - http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackdays/September/Blyton-Park-15th-September-2018

It's an all day event with an open pit - meaning you can do as many laps as you want.

Track tution is available on the day for £20 for 20 minutes which is well worth it.

Last time I booked a house for the weekend which was £not a lot.

I was going to suggest a shiters HQ for the weekend so that we can arrive Friday evening. Then wander over for trackday at a sensible time.

On top of this - I am suggesting that sat night after the trackage we have a slap up meal at a wetherspoons or curry or whatever. Those staying at shiters HQ can even have a shandy.

I will be taking the little Mazda and can have extra drivers if anyone fancies it. I think the total cost with fuel for the day etc was about £100 if you are sharing the car.

List below to say whether you are coming and whether you want to stay at Shiter HQ

1) Mooglepuss - driving and staying

350 miles each way and the track Clio having left this week might mean a no from me

Sure we could provide seat time in the 335!

Drive an economical car down then come and throw the mx5 round the track.

Don't know if I can make this one, but for anyone thinking about it, I'd definitely recommend Blyton especially/even if you've never done a track day before. It's a twisty rather than a power circuit, so you can have loads of fun without ever really risking a Big Off. If you do go off, there's generally plenty of run off. Also, it has a friendly cafe.

I'm checking on whether I have munchkin or not...... if I do - I'll need to get the OK to bring him along with me. I know he wants to do a track day - but at 8yrs old - even on the open attitude of these guys - would he be OK in the passenger seat? He already has his own crash hemet as he goes karting a fair bit.....

Too young really - would have to be 14 at earliest

Passengers

The general rule across all venues is that you must be 16 to be a passenger but some circuits will permit that to drop to 14 providing the passenger is assessed to be safe i.e. seat fit, vehicles type. Anyone under 18 must have a Parent / Legal Guardian countersign their indemnity form  in order to be permitted out on track.
