Yes. It was one of the hewn from granite by Germans soldering joints that was broken.

There is obviousy a crankcase breather missing that's going from somewhere into that hole in the air cleaner lid.

Does anyone know from where?

Haynes hasn’t a photo and I’m looking through my other workshop manual now.

You’ll see a photo of the breather pipe that extends into the front side section of the airbox. Yours doesn’t look standard. Mine curls to the rear and into an outlet on the camcover.

On my car it's currently a fringed, perished, hewn from granite rubber thing with a hole in the middle that never breaks.
