Mrs Hotel sent me this terrible picture earlier and asked me to guess what car it is. I have no idea so I turn the question over to the Autoshite hive mind.

 

 

Just to make things a bit less interesting, at this point I don't know if she knows what it is so there's a strong possibility I'm wasting all our time.

Is it actually wide-bodied or is the pic distorted? Good call there by Ghosty with the Golf Synchro, pic reminds me of the Rallye Mk2s.

It looks like it has a Porsche style upswept rear, but yeah the profile of the front could well be a small bumper MK2 Golf like the Ralleye (syncro and G60 used standard shells without any weird arch stuff)

I'd say the entire front panel's missing. So's the door bottom and sill. Could be Audi ur-Quattro - the later ones certainly had flared arches.

 

The BBS cross-spokes suggest something BMW, but no idea. No idea at all. *scratches head, puzzled*
