This collection actually started on Thursday. I finished work in Exeter and jumped on one of these up to London.

I spent my evening at The Forum Kentish Town  to see Sparks, And despite both being 70 now, they rocked the place. Have a typically poor gig photo.

I stayed in locally with friends and collection day dawned in London commuter land.

I made my way to St Pancras for a Javelin train to Ashford.

My first time on one of these, all very fast and efficient, if a bit soulless.

To business, Vantman very kindly met me at the station and instructed me in the ways of Saabness. My first fail though was no Pezz station shot as I filled it up on the way back to Vantman towers.

Deal done. I was anxious to get away as I had foolishly decided to collect on the Friday of bank holiday weekend.

BIG Mistake.

As I was not far from Folkestone, one of my more crazy idea's had been to head for Euro tunnel and drive west in France, and it certainly would have been more fun.

The M25 turned into a car park and an hour was lost in queue's close to the M3. By the time I got on the A303 I was well and truly bowled.

I diverted south and A roaded down through Salisbury, Blandford Forum and Dorchester gaining the A35 for the last leg into Devon.

The Saab was an absolute joy. and I'm glad I bought it.

Good to meet you Andy and I am glad the scruffy Saab has gone to a good home. Bad news about the holiday traffic though!

(High pitched voice)

Sadly, they didn't play this:

(which is usually the song in my head whilst walking around Ikea).

I love these cars but they're thirsty even in manual form, can't imagine what a power-sapping 3 speed auto one is like.

Juicy like an ripe orange.

I imagine I'm about to find out. I plan to use it as my daily.

Wow, just looked at the MOT history on this. That is very low miles indeed and looks pretty solid as well. Top car! Do we think that red would come back with a bit of cutting?

A machine polish will do wonders, and bring it up like new. Sadly it will only last a matter of months from experience.

I bought it just over 2 years ago for its unpolished look and I understand from the new owner that is why he bought it from me--this is Autoshite after all.
