Burnside Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Price Drop to £395 Firm. Right this hasn't been a easy decision to make, but due to various reasons I feel it's time to sell on my 93 Cavalier after almost 10 years ownership. This car has been fantastic to me and it's done everything I've asked and more. As posted it's a 1993 Cavalier 1.8i 8v, 5 speed manual in LS spec. So you get PAS, Electric Front Window's. Manual Tilt Slide Sunroof. Key Operated Central Locking. Also has a Sony CD player with Remote at full price and a working Single Electric Towbar. Put a New Mot on early so now Mot'd to the 27th April 19 and Taxed to get you home. Just had a new Oil and Filter change. Loads of paperwork for all the parts and bit's and bob's brought over the years. Filled four plastic wallets. Car on 200,000 and did have a engine change not long after I originally brought it. Which has 20,000 more which may put people off, but this has been in daily use for nearly 25 years and I'm sure it got more to give. As pictured it got a late spec SRI interior fitted. [ which is a little worn with age ] Has a GSI replica Grille and smoked side repeaters [ Can supply original's if prefered ] and Corsa D wheel trims. Sill's and Arches have been replaced to a reasonable standard. Bonnet has some rust inside the front lip but have a unpainted pattern replacement if wanted. Small rust bubble inside rear door shut. Normal small marks etc to paintwork but always look's smart when cleaned and get's plenty of nice comments. Had in the last 18 mths. New Front Disc's + Pad's. 4 X Shock's and Front spring's. Front Top Mount's. Fan Switch. Ignition Leads. Fuel lines replaced along with Fuel Filter. Have various parts mainly used that I can fill the boot with if wanted. There so much more I could say about it, but I would go on all day Pricing it up is difficult, but have put a price I feel is fair for an Mot'd tidy working car. Not looking to roffle it and if it doesn't sell then I will just store it away for the time being till things change and enjoy it some more. Not advertising it via Ebay or Gumtree to save my sanity. I'm in Aldridge WS9 area but can be viewed possibly at DE12 area if preferred. wrenchvolt, mrbenn, DVee8 and 22 others 25

sierraman Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Looks a tidy motor for £500. Something different these days but also very usable and cheap to run. I like it.
bezzabsa Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Quality 8valve engine...pity its not Auto !! Burnside 1
Lord Sterling Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Wow, that certainly looking a peach. Why sell now? Burnside 1
Burnside Posted May 15, 2018 Author Posted May 15, 2018 Thank's everyone. As other's have said before the Cavalier was the peak for Vauxhall, it just does everything you need in a mid sized car well. I'll certainly miss it if it sell's. Wow, that certainly looking a peach. Why sell now? Hi Mo, I know it seam's foolish to sell it now and it will probably give me sleepless night's too. There a lot of other none Car [ personal ] things that need addressing and money + time as always is the limiting factor. So sadly I have to be realistic about it and selling the Cavalier seams like the most sensible decision although I don't like it! We may sell the Fiat Fiorino Van too at some stage but that wouldn't be a easy decision either as my Dad brought it new but we see how things go.
lisbon_road Posted May 17, 2018 Posted May 17, 2018 Very nice car. GLWS. You can get leather gearstick and handbrake gaiters for about a fiver on ebay. They're not always that easy to fit but can be done and completely transform them - and give you one less fault on what looks like a decent car. Just trying to help. Burnside and cpjitservices 2
Burnside Posted May 26, 2018 Author Posted May 26, 2018 Right folks have dropped the price slightly to £500 that the lowest I'd take for it with the spares etc included. Have Insured it again for the time being but Ideally could do with selling it on as think I really need a bigger Van. So to offset the costs a smaller car would make more sense but if not I'm happy to keep it for the time being.
