Seen in Capel, Surrey.  Registered as an Alvis TD21, which it clearly isn't!  Alvis did buy the military vehicles division of GKN, but that was long after this vehicle was built.
Some of these vehicles are still in use with the UK armed forces, so it seems likely that this one was still in military service until 2005.

for what its worth im pretty sure this one is on an age related plate

it caught my eye because most County Councils only ever made it up to Xxx-N if that, before the 1st of October 1974 when the DVLC and their local offices took over and it all reset to Gxx-N

so I thought perhaps Ooh I wonder if London managed to get to Axx-N before the reset but then I saw that its first registered on the 1st of September 1975! so quite clearly an age related plate (as theres no way they would get from GGU-N to AGU-N in such a short space of time) and I also checked other vehicles and saw it was pretty obviously an age related series just based on the vehicle results being spat out by the DVLA checker

(although iv not actually checked its previous plate history FYI)
