2003 Fiat Stilo JTD 128.8k few months MOT £2.75 a ticket

As I'm no longer going to be commuting very far to work (3 miles round trip) I don't actually need this anymore.
Bought from Wuvvum of this very forum a short while ago.
Seems to average around 55-58mpg. You can hoon it quite well, actually better than I thought to be honest, it is a bit roley pokey in the bends but the grip is decent even on the dubious tyres, I've not managed to willingly chuck it and sense it would spin or anything else.
It does have issues:
Airbag light is on. TATDS and it's apparently a contact cleaner under the passenger seat jobbie.
Clutch is on the heavy side but doesn't slip.
Blower motor dead. Has a new one inside.
Front windows go up and down in a way not correlating to the switches pressed. A brief diagnosis suggests the drivers side window switch panel needs replacing. All windows work mind.
Old tyres need replacing ideally.
Front fascia currently not installed due to third party stereo.
I'm quite keen on keeping said stereo so it might not be with the car.
Big dent on passenger side wing.

But the engine is very strong and frugal.
Seats aren't bad for a modern really, I've not developed any lifelong conditions having sat in them for extended periods.
Arm rest in the front, fancy.
Decent spec for its day and most things seem to work that aren't mentioned above. Even the trip computer still works perfectly.

If this doesn't gain any momentum I'll probably just keep it. post-20043-0-70734700-1522252333_thumb.jpg

I'm in Reading and can potentially help deliver it for travel costs.

Oh the stickers on the back were used to cover up an ancient and impossible to remove baby on board one....

I'll take 2 to help this along, just make sure they aren't winning ones...

I have no need for this car and no idea what I'd do with it, so, in the grand AS tradition, two randoms please.

Thanks for the interest so far.

For added info, I've done 275 odd miles on this tank so far and it's still showing over half.

And if Bramz can't do it then I probably can.

I'll have a random please.

I don't actually want the car but I like these and I really fancy a go in it.

Added. I didn't expect it to be amazing to drive but it's really not bad, and does have some decent poke if you wind it up.

I really don't want or need this and can't afford the time or money to bring it to Belfast.

HOWEVER

I'll buy a random for SIC because I don't think he has enough cars and I know his OCD would force him to make it perfect before selling

I'd like all the tickets for this, but I'll limit myself to two randoms please

Umm.... I reckon £150 for car, £25 at most for train (I've just whacked Derby into the route finder on National Rail) and as I get 75% off the tickets are a lot cheaper.

£175?

I'm new to this roffle malarky and frankly I'm terrified of winning. I've no where to store the car and would rather not have to insure it on my already overburdened Admiral multicar policy.

Still, it would make an interesting story for the grand children (should my lad ever oblige)

Two randoms please

Posted

Bah, I was just about to invent some miserable story about not needing this at all but inevitably asking for a couple of randoms please at the end.

Mr Reginald D Nutsack has scuppered that then -  GLWP :)

P.S. Two randoms please, Mr Bolleaux.

- Sir! Sir! Bo11ox Minor's just jolly well gone and swiped our roffle, the beastly rotter!

- Run along outside and play, boy, you have too many of these roffles for your own good! Look lively, or it's six of the best!

I just want a go in it. If I win I'll drive it to you and you can buy me a train ticket home.

Don't want it, don't have anywhere to keep it, do like the look of it. Two randoms please.

Sorry guys, Mr B has indeed agreed a purchase.

Now I have the issue of finding a new daily before I move house in 19 days.

I had had my eye on a 2.4 Marea Weekend on eBay before the knobend seller ended the listing. I also having got first dibs on a Xantia 1.9D but the seller is so-so about selling.

Anyway I am sure something will appear, but thanks for the Roffle interest folks.

On previous form that is nearly 3 weeks so only one new car?

This is the first 5-dr Stilo I've seen in many a long year that still retains its fuel flap as God and Fiat intended it... did they normally just have pretty crappy hinges and fall off?
