Definitely... remember selling a car on there last time - I got no end of abuse from someone. I was selling a Punto, 96k miles, 07 plate and not a mark on it. Had been to FIAT for everything - was reasonable priced at £900. This one guy came along, looked at it and said he'd give me £100 now and take it away and he was doing me a favour as 'Head gasket blown mate'...... The sound of the plipper came next and my front door slammed shut. Head gasket wasnt fucked and he was a chancer. My old phone got bombarded with abuse. Cunt.

Yeah, I think your probs correct. I can list for free for under a grand, bit low but may have to do that. Looks like people dont want big Petrol engines.

Old diesel... Could be trouble. Is it the older 2.0 TDCI unit in those or the newer PSA one?

 

But then if its a grand and you have a few years at it its horses for courses. Only advice I'd give is don't get involved with repairs involving the injectors and pump. Problems there on a car that age are rarely worth putting right and even for a diesel specialist accurately pinpointing the cause can be difficult. But like I say buy it and run it till it drops.
